The Junior Executive position is an internship position aimed to provide VSA members an opportunity to get hands-on experience working in a student group. Beginning Winter term, you will be a part of the exec team and will play a crucial role in the organization for the rest of the year. If you’re interested in meeting new people, gaining valuable professional experience, and having lots of fun in the process, this position will surely provide you valuable learning experience that will transform into your self-development, skills and future career.

Responsibilities

  • Positively represent UO VSA on campus and in the local community
  • Collaborate with other execs to plan and coordinate VSA events, such as weekly
    general meetings, Pho Night, Tet Celebration, social outings, etc.
  • Active involvement in the planning and execution of VSA Culture Night
  • Taking on specific leadership roles for Culture Night coordination
  • Depending on one’s skills and interests, specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
    event planning, budgeting, fundraising, logistics, community outreach, public relations, graphic design, media production, etc.
  • Attend exec meetings, general meetings, and other VSA events (unless there’s conflict with prior arrangements, such as school or work)

Requirements

  • UO full-time status
  • Freshman, Sophomore or Junior
  • Good academic standing (No probation)
  • Available during Winter and Spring term
  • Interest in the Vietnamese culture
